Privacy Policy
Effective date: [February 7, 2026]
This Privacy Policy explains how ArchiChecker ("ArchiChecker," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you access or use our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Use of the Services is also subject to our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect. A. Information you provide. Account information: name, email address, authentication identifiers, and related profile information. Customer content: files and materials you upload or submit through the Services (for example, CD set PDFs), along with generated outputs (for example, QC reports, issue lists, and related artifacts). When you use the ArchiChecker Revit add-in: you install the add-in in Autodesk Revit on your device; when you run it, the add-in extracts structured project data from the Revit model you are working in (for example, elements and parameters, schedules, rooms, doors, walls, tags, keynotes, linked-model metadata, and related sheet or view information, depending on what the add-in is designed to collect) and transmits that data over the network to our web application. QC checks and analysis for that data are performed in the Services (our hosted environment), and results are associated with your account—not solely on your local machine. That extracted data and the resulting outputs are Customer content for purposes of this Policy. Communications: messages you send to us (for example, support requests). B. Information collected automatically. Usage and device information: basic technical information such as device type, browser type, and general usage data necessary to operate and secure the Services. Log data: server logs that may include IP address, timestamps, and request metadata. We use our hosting and analytics provider (Vercel) for basic site analytics, such as page views and visit information, to understand how people use our websites; Vercel's processing is described in their privacy documentation (https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy). On our marketing website (e.g. archichecker.com and its public pages), we also use Google Ads (Google tag / gtag.js) to measure and optimize our advertising; Google may collect information such as pages visited, device and browser data, and conversion events in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can control ad personalization and opt out of certain Google advertising features via Google's Ads Settings. We use minimal cookies or similar technologies only as needed to operate the Services, for this basic analytics, and for the purposes described above.
2. How We Use Information. We use information to: Provide and operate the Services, including processing customer content (including PDFs and Revit-derived data sent from the add-in) and generating outputs you request. Maintain security and prevent abuse, including detecting and responding to suspicious activity. Provide support and respond to inquiries. Improve and maintain the Services (for example, debugging, performance, reliability).
3. AI Processing and Service Providers. To provide core functionality, we may process certain customer content using third-party service providers. OpenAI API. When you run AI-powered features, we may transmit relevant portions of your submitted content (e.g., extracted text/images or other necessary data) to OpenAI for processing to generate outputs. We do this solely to provide and improve the Services and consistent with this Privacy Policy.
4. Billing and Payment Information. If you purchase a paid plan, billing is handled through our billing and authentication providers (for example, Clerk and its payment processing partners). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Payment processors may collect and process payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
5. How We Share Information. We do not sell personal information. Your project files, customer content, and personal data are never sold or shared with third parties for their own use (such as marketing or advertising); we only allow service providers to process data as necessary to deliver the Services to you. We may share information in the following circumstances. A. Service providers (subprocessors). We use reputable vendors to host and operate the Services, including: Vercel (hosting and site analytics, e.g. page views and visit data), Google (on our marketing website only, for Google Ads measurement and optimization via the Google tag), DigitalOcean (hosting infrastructure, DigitalOcean Spaces for file storage, and DigitalOcean-managed Postgres for database services), Clerk (authentication and account management, and billing infrastructure where applicable), OpenAI (AI processing to generate outputs). These providers process data only to deliver services to us and are expected to protect it consistent with their obligations. B. Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to: comply with law, regulation, or legal process; protect the rights, safety, and security of ArchiChecker, our users, or others; or prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents. C. Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
6. Data Retention. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to: provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Account deletion: If you delete your account through account management, your authentication profile may be removed through our authentication provider. Project data and uploaded files: Deletion of project data and uploaded files (such as CD set PDFs stored in DigitalOcean Spaces, and Revit-derived extracts and related project records held in our systems) is handled by request. If you want project data/files deleted, contact us as described below. We may retain limited information (e.g., logs) where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate business purposes.
7. Security. We take the security of your information seriously. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your account information, project files and other customer content, and personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. This includes securing how we store and transmit your data and how we work with service providers that process it. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, and you use the Services at your own risk.
